How do I schedule a HUD inspection?

Call 311 to submit a service request. There will be a drop down that will be either TBRA or ESG, with some very basic questions.
ESG Inspections. Inspections are required for Prevention and Rapid Re-housing if funds are being used to obtain housing. If funds are used to keep a household in current housing, then a check to insure the housing unit meets the minimum habitability standards (24 CFR part 576.403(c)) can be performed by a case manager and documented accordingly.
TBRA Inspections. Prior to households receiving assistance, they must meet with Connections to determine their eligibility for the program. Once a household is qualified for the program, Connections will work with landlords to find a unit for the family to move. Connections will then contact City, via 311, to request an inspection of the unit. The City will complete the inspection using HUD’s inspection checklist form in order to determine if the unit is suitable for the TBRA household.
