• Season beach passes are free to Evanston community members who reside in 60201 and 60202. • Skokie residents living in 60203 do not qualify for free beach passes • Beach passes are required to enter the swimming beaches • Replacement (lost or stolen) passes are $10 each
How do I obtain a free beach pass? All beach patrons must present a season beach pass or daily ticket to enter the beach. IDs will not be accepted at beach entrances. Proof of residency for each person in a household is required to obtain a beach pass. No pass is required for children under the age of one.
Acceptable forms of identification to receive a beach pass: • Driver’s License or State ID • Mortgage • Title or lease agreement. If sharing a lease agreement, a second form of ID with the Evanston address is required. • Utility bill • Tax Return • Voter registration card • Vehicle registration • District 65 free or reduced lunch letter
Children will need to show a current report card, school picture ID, parent insurance card listing dependents, tax return document, or other form of ID a parent may have that proves Evanston residency.
Guest Beach Ticket The Parks and Recreation Department will offer guest beach ticket. This program allows Evanston community members to purchase a discounted daily ticket for their guests. Guest tickets may be purchased ahead of time or at the time of use (see below for purchase locations). Guest tickets are non-refundable.
Ticket Information: • $5 per ticket • Each household is limited to a maximum of 20 tickets per season.
Eligibility: • Only community members residing in zip codes 60201 or 60202 are eligible to purchase guest beach tickets. • A guest ticket must be purchased directly by the Evanston community member. Guests do not need to be physically present for a community member to purchase the guest ticket.
In-person Purchase: • Tickets must be purchased in-person at the Dempster St. Beach Office or Clark St. Beach Office • Please bring proof of residency when making the purchase.
Non-Resident Beach Admission Season Beach Passes • The season beach pass is valid from the time of purchase until the end of the season. • This pass is non-transferable and allows admittance to any of the five public swimming beaches in the City of Evanston. • Admission is free for children under age one. • To obtain Skokie rates, proof of Skokie residency is required. Non-Resident Daily Beach Ticket • Daily tickets can be purchased online via the Yodel Portal or in-person at the beach office • Daily tickets are non-transferable and allows admittance to any of the five public swimming beaches in the City of Evanston. • Admission is free for children under age one. • Physical daily tickets are not available at any community center. • Daily tickets can be purchased in person at the following facilities during office hours during the beach season. • Dempster Street Beach Office, 1251 Lake Shore Bld. • Clark Street Beach Office, 1811 Sheridan Rd. • To obtain Skokie rates, proof of Skokie residency is required (zip codes 60203, 60076, 60077) • Daily tickets are non-refundable
