Encourage your customers to identify and report food sources that can be contributing to feeding wildlife. Common examples of this are ground feeding (Health Department concern) or overflowing trash carts/dumpsters (Public Works concern). Either of these matters can be reported via service request.
If removal of a coyote is deemed necessary, property owners should hire a nuisance wildlife control operator who is licensed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
If you receive a report of a Coyote den, please provide the location to a Supervisor.
