I have a wild animal in my house, will the City assist?

Animal Issue/Concern
The Animal Warden may assist if the animal is in a living quarter of the home, however, if it is inside of a wall, a crawl space, chimney, attic, basement, window well or an exterior area, the property owner will need to contact a private animal control specialist. Living quarters of the home include living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. For assistance, please call the non-emergency police department available 24/7 at 847-866-5000. Alternatively, call the Cook County Department of Animal Control at 708-974-6140.
