Evanston no longer collects batteries for recycling. SWANCC website has options for rechargeable batteries.

For single-use batteries, like AA, AAA, 9v, etc., Alkaline batteries can be placed in trash. You can also drop them off at select Call2Recycle.org - Call2Recycle is the country’s leading consumer battery recycling program - participating locations, contact your local community recycling center for other options or buy your own Call2Recycle recycling box for your home or office.
