Barnacled Vehicle
For immediate release either call the automated phone line (833) 623-1445, or go online to EVANSTON.RMCPAY.com. Once the barnacle fee and all tickets are paid by credit card you will be given instructions and a code to release the device. The device must be returned within 24 hours of release to the Evanston Police Department located at 1454 Elmwood, Evanston, IL 60201 or you will be charged the full price for a replacement. The police department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or you may contact the City Collector's Office during business hours to make payment and have someone dispatched to remove the barnacle.
If Payment is not made within 48 hours, including weekends, the vehicle will be towed and impounded. After that, the vehicle will not be released until the following have been paid in full: immobilization fee, towing and storage fees, and all unpaid tickets judgments. Payment can not be made by personal check.
